IOSAT potassium iodide tablets saturate the thyroid gland with stable iodine to prevent the absorption of radio-active iodine, the most dangerous substance likely to be released in a nuclear emergency.  Each package contains 14 full-strength (130mg) tablets which will protect one adult's thyroid for at least two weeks.
