Twelve hours in bright sun will recharge the built-in internal Nickel Metal-Hydride batteries (included) enough to play the radio six to eight hours (depending on volume). Can even be recharged on cloudy days.

Hand Crank Power

If normal electrical power is not available and there is no sunshine, you can use the built-in crank on the back of the radio to charge the included built-in internal batteries. Two minutes of cranking will provide enough power to operate the radio up to 30 minutes, depending on volume level.

AC Adapter and Earphone Included!
You can listen to the radio when you have normal electrical power by plugging the included AC adapter into a wall socket.

You can also use the AC Adapter to charge the internal batteries (included).
Six hours of charging will charge the internal batteries enough to play your radio about 24 hours.

Use the earphone for private listening.

This emergency radio can also be powered by placing three "AA" alkaline batteries (not included) into the special battery compartment. These batteries will power the radio a minimum of 72 hours.
